My name is Nathan Montgomery. I am a Florida native, born and raised in South Florida. In 2012 I moved to Tennessee for a few years, until the sand in my shoes brought me back home to the sunshine state. I love being back in Florida where I have the honor of helping people every day to achieve their homeownership dreams as a real estate agent in central Florida. We moved back to Florida in 2017, and bought our home here in Plantation Oaks. We have loved living here since we arrived. We backed the moving truck up and almost immediately neighbors came from next door, across the street and even down the street to say hello and welcome us to the neighborhood.
It has been so great to meet so many wonderful people throughout the neighborhood since we arrived. I believe that our neighborhood is a fantastic place to live and play. From the well maintained homes, streets and sidewalks to the beautiful pool and clubhouse, this community is a distinctly unique neighborhood in the Titusville area. We have come to enjoy the close proximity to a beautiful beach, brand new shopping and the amenities of the larger cities like Orlando, Daytona and Melbourne without all the traffic. I am honored to join with the other board members in continuing to make Plantation Oaks a wonderful community as we serve our fellow neighbors.
I was born and raised in Miami, FL. I followed my father’s footsteps and started my law enforcement career in 1989 working for North Miami Beach Police Department, where he was my Sergeant. In 1993 I was hired by Florida Department of Transportation where I worked Highway Interdiction. In 1996, I moved to Titusville, FL. when my husband and I became engaged. He was born and raised in Titusville. We were married a year later in Cocoa Beach, FL. In 2000, we had our daughter, our only child.
We moved to Plantation Oaks in 2004 and were renting a home while waiting for our house to be built here. In 2005, our house was complete and we have been living in this house ever since. In 2005, I attended the United States Border Patrol National Canine Facility at Fort Bliss in El Paso, TX. where I became a certified K-9 Instructor. At this time, I was assigned a 1 year old female Belgian Malinois K-9 Aida. During my 4 months of K-9 instructor school in El Paso, K-9 Aida and I became a certified team in narcotics detection and concealed human detection. In 2011, Florida Department of Transportation merged with Florida Highway Patrol which is where K-9 Aida & I continued our employment. In 2013, K-9 Aida and I retired. K-9 Aida served 8 years as I proudly served 24 years. I have been a board member since June 2017 as Treasurer where I proudly serve as the Safety & Security Director. The safety and security of our residents is extremely important to me.
Hello neighbors my name is Sheree Hill. In August of 2007 my family purchased a home in Plantation Oaks. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work where I specialize in trauma, abuse, and addiction therapy as well as being an advocate on the political level.
One of the things I was most excited about when I moved into Plantations oaks over 10 years ago was living in a “community.” I think that living in a neighborhood with an HOA offers value in so many ways to it’s residents. Since I first began serving on the HOA Board of Directors as Vice President in February of 2016 I have met so many wonderful neighbors! I have been so grateful to meet several families in our neighborhood and grow lasting friendships. A sense of community has always been important to me and I love watching my children grow and interact with their neighborhood friends. By serving on the board, I work for the residents of Plantation Oaks. I enjoy being part of a team that understands the value and importance of encouraging this community to run “our community” and not just allowing the Board to make all the decisions. It has been my pleasure to assist with keeping the “neighbor” in neighborhood. I am looking forward to meeting and growing even more lasting friendships and experiencing positive community relationships with my neighbors here in Plantation Oaks!
I am a Jacksonville native. Attended Florida State College at Jacksonville. I am a Veteran of US ARMY Reserve. I Retired after 30 Years from Florida Highway Patrol as a State Trooper. I am still a Reserve State Trooper.
Hello! I am Jan Shirley, Secretary of Plantation Oaks Board of Directors. I lived for 60 years in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I love Bama football! Roll Tide! I worked 37 years as Supervisor of Respiratory Therapy Department at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. I really enjoyed my rewarding career.
My husband, WC and I retired and bought a new home in Plantation Oaks. We really enjoy living here. Our neighbors are great, our clubhouse and pool are so nice and we are thrilled to be so close to the beach. Many of you know me because of my work with the Helping Hands Committee delivering the welcome baskets. This is such a fun project and it’s great meeting new neighbors. I am also the one you see placing letters/ announcements on the message boards at the 3 gates. Those of you on Mason also can see me walking the street with our beloved Border Collie, Maggie.
My retirement is happy and full serving our wonderful community, spending lots of time with grandchildren, loving every minute with WC, my husband of 44 years and bike riding, swimming and going to the beach.
My name is Michael Joannides, a native New Yorker, moving here in July of 2004 with my two children when it was a brand new, barely started community. Though I started out renting a home I purchased the house next door in 2006 making it by far, the simplest move ever. I am a freelance fire protection designer and avid photographer. My children are grown now so I am blessed with two beautiful grandchildren.
I believe our neighborhood is quite unique and is the home to some truly great people. Living here, we are lucky enough to enjoy our close proximity to the beaches and avoid the heavy traffic of the big cities. I have been quite involved within the HOA for several years serving in various capacities including my third year as President of the Board of Directors. I believe friends make better neighbors than strangers so Plantation Oaks HOA functions and Special Events have allowed me to meet so many nice people and in turn make new friends.
